ODOO API INTEGRATION SERVICES

Odoo API integrations.
Connected to your business.

An integration should do more than move data once. We help plan connections between Odoo and your other systems, with clear rules for ownership, synchronization, and what happens when something goes wrong.

START WITH CLARITY

What makes an Odoo integration reliable?

A useful integration starts with a specific business event: an order is placed, a payment is recorded, or a shipment changes status. Define which system owns that information, what Odoo needs to receive, and when the update should happen.

The connection may use a supported connector, a scheduled synchronization, or a custom API integration. The right option depends on the systems involved, the available APIs, your Odoo version and plan, data volume, and how quickly information needs to be reflected.

OdooMatrix helps scope field mapping, authentication, and operational behavior alongside the happy path. A storefront order that arrives twice, an expired credential, or a temporary service outage should be part of the design conversation—not something discovered only after launch.

PLANNING YOUR PROJECT

Odoo eCommerce integration: map orders before syncing

Connecting a storefront to Odoo requires agreement on the transaction, not just matching a few fields. Use a sample order to decide what should happen from checkout through fulfilment and reconciliation.

01

Define ownership and identifiers

Choose which system owns product details, prices, available stock, customer records, and order status. Map identifiers explicitly; names and email addresses alone may not be sufficient to match every record.

  • Agree on product variants, currency, taxes, and shipping charges.
  • Define rules for guest customers and changed customer details.
  • Record how an external order ID is stored and matched in Odoo.
02

Design for retries and changes

Webhooks can arrive more than once or in a different order. A timeout after creating a record should not lead to a second order when the same event is replayed.

  • Use stable event or record identifiers for duplicate prevention.
  • Plan how cancellations, refunds, and partial shipments update each system.
  • Respect API limits and distinguish retryable failures from invalid data.
03

Reconcile and recover

A connector needs a way to identify transactions that did not arrive or no longer agree. Decide who reviews failed records and how an operator can replay an update safely.

  • Compare a sample of orders, quantities, totals, and status transitions.
  • Exercise expired access, outages, and repeated notifications in testing.
  • Check logs exclude credentials and unnecessary customer information.

Confirm API availability for the specific Odoo version, plan, and storefront before selecting a connector or custom build. Scope who maintains the connection when either platform changes its API; a one-time successful sync is only the first acceptance check.

MARKETPLACE INTEGRATIONS

Connect Odoo to Temu, Back Market, Mirakl, and CommerceHub

Selling on marketplaces means the same stock is promised in several places. The integration has to bring orders into Odoo, send available stock and prices back out, and return tracking before the marketplace's deadline.

MIRAKL

Mirakl-based marketplaces

Many retailer marketplaces run on Mirakl. Sellers connect through the Mirakl Seller API with an API key, the marketplace URL, and a shop ID, so one design can serve several Mirakl marketplaces. Each operator still sets its own categories, required attributes, and order rules.

  • Map each offer’s SKU, price, and quantity per marketplace.
  • Accept or refuse new orders within the operator’s time limit.
  • Turn marketplace returns into Odoo return receipts and credit notes.
BACK MARKET

Back Market refurbished sales

Back Market sells refurbished devices. Sellers create an API key in the seller back office and work with listings and orders, and can test against Back Market’s pre-production environment before going live.

  • Map each Odoo variant, including its condition grade, to the right listing.
  • Keep listing stock and price in step with what is actually sellable.
  • Import orders once, keyed to the Back Market order ID.
TEMU

Temu seller accounts

Temu offers more than one seller model. When Temu handles fulfilment, Odoo mainly supplies stock and records the sale; when you ship orders yourself, carrier and tracking details must flow back to Temu.

  • Confirm which seller model and region your account uses, and its API access.
  • Key every order to its Temu order ID so a retry never creates a duplicate.
  • Push available stock on a schedule to avoid overselling across channels.
COMMERCEHUB

CommerceHub (Rithum) drop-ship orders

Retailers that use CommerceHub, now part of Rithum, send drop-ship purchase orders through OrderStream. You fulfil them from Odoo stock, then confirm, ship, and invoice each order back to the retailer.

  • Import each retailer purchase order as a sales order with the retailer’s PO number.
  • Post carrier and tracking details when the Odoo delivery is validated.
  • Send invoices in the format and timing each retailer requires.

Ready-made connectors for several of these marketplaces are listed on the Odoo Apps store. Compare one against your order volume, warehouses, and return process before paying for a custom build. A custom integration makes sense when you need rules a connector does not cover, or several marketplaces drawing on one stock pool.

A PRACTICAL WAY FORWARD

From requirements
to working software.

Each project is scoped to your systems and priorities. Here’s how we frame the work together.

01

Map the information

Identify the source of truth, required fields, identifiers, and update direction. Agree on how products, customers, orders, and status changes are matched between systems.

02

Design the connection

Confirm API access and permissions, synchronization frequency, rate limits, and volume. Define duplicate prevention, retries, and a clear way to surface failed updates.

03

Validate real scenarios

Use test accounts or sandbox environments where available. Check normal updates, duplicates, missing records, and service failures before an agreed production rollout.

BEFORE WE TALK

A little preparation.
A better conversation.

You don’t need a finished specification. These details help us understand your starting point.

  • The names and plans of the systems you want to connect
  • The records and fields that should move between them
  • Which system is the source of truth for each record
  • The required update frequency and approximate data volume
  • Available API documentation and a test environment, without sharing credentials in chat

API access and features can depend on third-party subscriptions and the Odoo hosting or licensing plan. Existing connectors should be assessed for your specific versions and requirements. We confirm those prerequisites before treating a proposed connection as feasible.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Useful things
to know.

Need to discuss your particular setup?

Ask OdooMatrix
Can Odoo connect to Temu, Back Market, or Mirakl marketplaces?

Yes, through each marketplace’s seller API, using either a ready-made connector or a custom integration. Orders come into Odoo, and stock, prices, and tracking go back to the marketplace. What is possible depends on your seller account’s API access and the marketplace’s rules.

Can Odoo connect to an online store or payment provider?

Potentially, through supported connectors or APIs. The available operations, subscription requirements, and data model vary by provider. A short technical assessment establishes what can be connected and how.

Does every integration update in real time?

No. Some systems support event-driven updates or webhooks; others are better suited to scheduled synchronization. The design should reflect business urgency, API capabilities, limits, and recovery requirements.

How are failed updates handled?

That should be agreed in the integration design. Depending on the workflow, it may include retries, a visible error queue, alerts, and a safe way to replay an update without creating duplicate records.
